We are seeking an experienced product photographer with interest in, and knowledge of art, art history, and art handling. A qualified candidate will need excellent photography skills and have knowledge of cleanly shooting objects and works of art in a way that emphasizes color accuracy and clarity, as well as a knowledge of art and antiques. Responsibilities Shooting and editing photographs of items for auction catalogs. Quality finished photo editing and photo-database management (We are open to editing occurring offsite). Shooting promotional group object images for advertising. Responsiveness to revisions and reshoots if needed. Handling art and design objects to prep for shooting including but not limited to: framed works of art, sculptures, bronzes, rare books, unframed prints, ceramics, jewelry, furniture items, and other high-value objects. Qualifications Experience in shooting digital photography for products, objects, or art documentation (Portfolios encouraged). Knowledge of photo equipment including lighting equipment, editing software (Photoshop, Capture One, etc.), and handling a DSLR. Knowledge of art, art history, or antiques. Candidate must be comfortable lifting up to 40lbs and standing for long periods of time.
