We are hiring!
Pumpkin Patch is a family-owned childcare center in Cromwell offering play-based care for infants through preschoolers, as well as summer camp and before/after school programs. We foster a positive work culture, opportunities for advancement, and support for earning early childhood education degrees through funding from the Office of Early Childhood Education.

At least two staff members over 18 must be present in the building during operating hours. The center operates from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm. Openers are responsible for unlocking the center and greeting children and parents by 6:30 am. The Part Time Opener position is from 6:30am-9:30am Monday-Friday, hours can be extended if interested. Staff should supervise up to 10 children, prepare educational activities for transitions, and perform assigned childcare tasks such as checking in children via ProCare, supervising, engaging with, and enriching them, and completing any projects left by the Lead Teacher. Cleaning may include sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces.

Duties

• Follow all center policies and state regulations.
• Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
• Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, order of the classroom

Requirements

Must be able to pass a background check.
Must have reliable transportation.
This position is also available to high school students who want to get their foot in the door working with children.
