Our Greater Boston area client is seeking a Packaging Production Specialist with 3+ years of experience for an immediate long-term contract. This onsite role requires working two days a week and collaborating closely with a Senior Packaging Specialist. The ideal candidate will possess strong packaging production and layout skills, focusing on packaging for home products and gifts. Overview The Packaging Specialist plays a vital role within a cross-functional team, delivering trend-forward brand packaging solutions to support the evolution of our global divisions. As the creative lead responsible for packaging and branding development across selected categories, you will ensure quality and timely delivery of all packaging materials. You will partner with the Senior Packaging Specialist and collaborate with Product Development, Vendors, Agents, GBOs, and Buyers to create and execute successful brand packaging. Responsibilities Partner with the Sr. Packaging Specialist to create compelling brand packaging that adheres to established brand guidelines for various products (boxes, hangtags, labels, etc.). Compile and release visual tools and artwork requested by internal and external clients. Manage the process from conception to shelf, providing approvals and overseeing the execution of all components before press and delivery. Communicate with product development and internal teams throughout the design process, including reviewing and proofing packaging. Ensure adherence to all category deadlines, both internal and external. Collaborate with the Senior Packaging Specialist on photography requirements for packaging. Assist the Sr. Packaging Specialist in designing and executing prototypes for presentation and approval. Perform any special projects as assigned. Qualifications BFA or related degree in design preferred. Minimum of 4+ years of design-related experience. Excellent sense of color, typography, and style. Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and work well under pressure. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and supporting office programs.
