Position Description

As the School Director, you will lead the overall safety, operations, and educational excellence of the school. You’ll implement the curriculum while overseeing staff to ensure best practices that support every child’s holistic development. Your role includes conducting daily rounds of the school, observing classrooms, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. You’ll also be responsible for staff performance reviews, training, and hiring, in addition to coordinating school events, family tours, and DCF inspections. Effective communication with staff, leadership teams, and parents will be crucial in maintaining a collaborative and safe learning environment, ensuring the financial health of the school, and keeping track of essential documentation such as lesson plans, fire drills, and student portfolios.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee school safety and holistic development initiatives.
  • Conduct daily school-wide observations and weekly staff evaluations.
  • Train, supervise, and motivate staff, ensuring best practices.
  • Maintain communication with parents and leadership through digital platforms.
  • Manage staff schedules, reviews, and time-off approvals.
  • Monitor school finances, petty cash, and budgeting needs.
  • Organize and oversee school events and parent-school agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with DCF inspections and safety drills.

Salary Range

$70,000 - $75,000 USD per year, based on experience.
